Java Version - 11.0.19AEM as a cloud Version - aem-sdk-2023.9.13665.20230927T063259Z-230800When I use the Command line to start the AEM Jar, I am getting below error:Error: Unable to access jarfile aem-author-p4502.jar. But when I double click the instance is started successfully.As per the Adobe documentation we need to start instance by using the command prompt not by double clicking the jar.How do I resolve the issue when starting the instance via command promptCommand used : java -jar aem-author-p4502.jar 

jQuery 1.12.4 has security vulnerabilities (listed below). Are there any plans to upgrade jQuery on AEM 6.5 to the latest jQuery 3.6.x ?  Although, we do see a custom jQuery v1.12.4-aem , did Adobe fix some of the vulnerabilities?   As of now, even on AEM 6.5.14, comes with jQuery 1.12.4   The docs for 6.5.0 states https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-65/release-notes/service-pack/ga.html?lang=en#experience-manager-foundation  CAUTIONAEM includes version 1.12.4 of the jQuery library to provide maximum compatibility with existing custom code. I'm implementing a search feature with the Query Builder API. My client wants a report to be generated on acs-commons report of the all the users who have edit permission to specific dam folder in AEM. Is it possible to create report with acs-commons. I am open to hear any other approach like groovy script.

I need to move all contents from AES development to production environments. To do this, I used package manager. The problem was that some folders have large sizes, so I had to build each subfolder and upload them to the development branch. Additionally, I need to copy all changes made in the future from development to production. It is not possible to accomplish this with package manager. Please suggest some appropriate mechanism for achieving this.

Hello, I would like to know if there is a way to publish content (ie: content and/or experience fragments and assets) to the publisher instance via API calls. Our goal is to only allow publishing content via Workfront Fusion. If anyone could point me in the right direction, that would be highly appreciated. Thank you! 

I have requirement to return more fields in ImageRef. To the standard ImageRef type I want to include, size, lastModified, createdDate, cq:tags of the asset. How to extend the ImageRef schema modal to add additional properties? 

We are using Asset Share and we have a number of Assets that were tagged with a particular tag.  We had a requirement to rename the tag.  We chose to update the name by "moving" the tag - though we placed it under the same path that is was previously.  By using "move", we are able to update both the name and the title of the tag.  However after moving/renaming the tag this way, we are no longer getting results when we search by the new tag name.  And we still get results when we search using the old (removed) tag name. Can anyone help me to understand whats going on here?

We are looking for guidance on the best approach of a replication push notification. What does AEM have to offer in regards to trigger push notification on all replication events (new,modified,delete,etc...).We require a mechanism, where a replication event (also for multiple pages at the same time or tree activation) provides all necessary information on a resource that is being replicated. This must at leas include it's path and the type of the event.Thank you for any advice in advance.

If we download any assets as zip file in AEM using either AEM out of the box download asset feature or calling ' /content/dam/collections/public/I/IeX-vp9Jj2OvVBSyd58l/nameofcollection.downloadbinaries.json', using JS, they are stored in var/dam/download. we observed that they are automatically removed from var/dam/download in 24 hours. Please help us find documentation about the same that any zip files created under var/dam/download will be automatically deleted by AEM it self or do we need to specifically write a servlet or scheduler to delete it after given time to maintain the performance and not to load AEM. Also, If yes, will it automatically delete in both AEM author and publisher?We are using AEM as Cloud. 

Hello all, While setting up dispatcher (port 80) using a publish instance at 4503, I wanted to use the AEM login page for users to log in. I know that the AEM login page has a built in password expiry when a user's password expires or is trying to login for the first time (which needs to be set in the OSGi configurations). So, I enable the user first login to change the password and put the number of days for the password to expired in the OSGi configuration.On the dispatcher.any (on Apache 2.2 as I have Windows), I made sure the login page is shown for users when they access a page where login is needed. When I tested a user where I created and log in for the first time, it does not show the fields to change the password. I created a custom metadata schema under metadata schema forms with new metadata properties and applied it to a DAM directory where I'm working. However I get an error "Unable to edit properties. Insufficient permissions." if the asset doesn't already have the custo metadata properties. (it works for files that have been previously custom metadata properties) How do I set it up to create the metadata node for files without the custom tags when using the TagUI?

I am building an application where the content of the page will differ based on a user cookie that specifies details of a subscription level. the components read the cookie and can change what they display based on it, however I still want to implement some caching on the site at the dispatcher to improve performance. Is there a way in the dispatcher cache of caching variations of the content based on the value of a cookie, or a header?

Hi,I implemented universal editor on top of my react application and works great. The content fragment path from graphql is mapped and page is serving _publishUrl for images. Text and richtext editing immediately reflects on the app. But when I change the assets, the new changed asset doesn't load immediately. After changing the asset, I have to hard refresh page and then it reflects. Is there any plan to add Generate Variations feature in AEM On-Premises version? Is there any ETA?

I’m trying to include an author-only client library in AEM so that it loads only on Author and never on Publish. Right now, it’s getting loaded on Publish unless I manually disable it with ?wcmmode=disabled, which isn’t ideal.I've tried Checking wcmmode (Edit/Design Mode) <sly data-sly-test="${wcmMode.edit || wcmMode.design}"> <sly data-sly-use.clientlib="/libs/granite/sightly/templates/clientlib.html"/> <sly data-sly-call="${clientlib.css @ categories='mySite.author'}"/> </sly> This only works when ?wcmmode=disabled is used, but I need something that actually detects if it’s Author vs. Publish. 

Hi all, AEMaaCS  has a dynamic architecture with variable number of images.The architecture is scaled up/down based on actual traffic and actual utility. What does an image contain exactly? If it is an entire AEM server, it results in a huge duplication with number of images. Appreciate your replies. Thanks,RK.

Hi All   I’ve set up the dispatcher for AEM as a cloud and created symbolic links for the vhost and farm files in Windows. However, after deploying in the lower environment,the build failed due to the error: "Invalid symlinks found."After checking the Adobe Community forum, I attempted to create the symbolic links through WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux),but I’m encountering issues when trying to commit the code to the Git repository.Could you please suggest how I should proceed with committing the code? I have a solution implemented that is described here: Moving assets to PIM system - HTTP API the correct choiceFrom a high level I have a custom workflow step that calls an API and sends the assett.  This workflow is triggered from users placing the assets in to a "monitored" directory.  This works fine unless the user drops a large number of files into directory all at once.  Then a random amount of them fail and the failure is socket closed errors when sending the file.  This causes 2 things, it either results in multiple versions of the file sent because even though it gets a socket closed exception the file did actually send or it doesn't send the file at all if it fails on the connect vs the send. Here are the results of some logging:15.01.2025 09:47:38.019 *INFO* [JobHandler: /var/workflow/instances/server1/2024-12-21/publish-to-pim_415:/content/dam/pim/test_10025/SGCO_91070_0520_Cooler_GreyRed_Studio_4 low.jpg/jcr:content/renditions/original] com.cd

I have found documentation that I can nest collections in AEM Assets. Can I do the same thing in Brand Portal? And if so how? I want to be able to do this directly in Brand Portal.  Not create it in AEM Assets and then push it to Brand Portal.
