I have a requirement for the ACS AEM Commons implementation for AEM Inhouse Instance. I wanted to know the best practices on how it can be implemented and the impact it might have on the existing code/libraries that has been currently used. The goal is to have the most stable version of ACS AEM Commons installed with really less or no impact to the current code and library.If any one has recently implemented the ACS AEM Commons to the their instance, any recommendation or lookout on the issues would definitely help.

I have a project where content fragments need to be automatically exported as JSON to a target location upon creation via a custom workflow. The JSON format should match what is generated when accessing the URL: http://localhost:4502/api/assets/contentfragment.model.json.However, I am facing an issue where I can't replicate the exact JSON format needed for export. Hello Aces,I would like your opinion on using AEM's email service to send emails.I have a requirement to send an email to a user based on certain business rules. I can use either ACS Common Email Service or a Java service to send the email.My question is: Is it ideal to send emails directly from AEM? I’m asking this from a thread pool perspective. There may be a request to trigger up to 500 emails per minute. If I use AEM to send the emails, will it block the thread and impact other activities, such as servicing page requests?If sending emails directly from AEM blocks the thread, what would be the ideal approach to send emails? Should I consider using middleware for this?ThanksNanda

Hi,As per the translation cloud configuration I am not able to find an option to stop Inline Media Assets to be translated.In simpler words, if Content Fragment 2 is being referred in Content Fragment 1, and we try to submit translation for Content Fragment 1, then Content Fragment 2 should not be sent for translation. While exploring the available options, I can find options to include media assets or assets collection but can't find the solution to exclude them.  Thanks,Saurabh

How to deal with RepoInit failures in Cloud Service by Jörg Hoh Abstract Some years, even before AEM as a Cloud Services, the RepoInit language has been implemented as part of Sling (and AEM) to create repository structures directly on the startup of the JCR Repository. With it your application can rely that some well-defined structures are always available. In this blog post I want to walk you through a way how you can test repoinit statements locally and avoid pipeline failures because of it. Repoinit statements are deployed as part of OSGI configurations; and that means that during the development phase you can work in an almost interactive way with it. Also exceptions are not a problem; you can fix the statement and retry. The situation is much different when you already have repoinit statements deployed and you startup your AEM (to be exact: the Sling Repository service) again. Because in this case all repoinit statements are executed as part of the startup of the repository.

I have created the Adobe IO runtime project by creating necessary actions. I ran the command:aio app buildaio app deployGot the Adobe IO runtime URL as well. Able to hit the API from postman. Got the response too.Added console.log statements in my action files .Now, I want to check the logs details. Here, I am facing the issue:1: Not able to see my actions in the developer.adobe portal. Not an issue, since I can see the details if I run the command: aio runtime action list2: After hitting the Adobe IO runtime api from postman, when I run the command: wsk activation list, I am not able to see any log files.May i know, what I am missing? cc @sarav_prakash  @mk_aem21  @arunpatidar 

We have set up an SPA using next js and rest of the things are working fineonly experience-fragments are not working.When we navigate to experience fragments master.html page, the page loads with all the default components but not the one that we have created mapping for at our end.Our components are visible to drag as well and when we drag it is shown in its master.model.json as well but not on the browser window, due to which we are not able to edit/author any experience fragments.Could anyone here provide any help or any existing documentation how to make experience fragments work for remote SPA Next Js application?

I am working on AEM with remote SPA. The rendering of the view is done at the react side and authoring is done at AEM.  Which ever react component that needs to be authored are mapped to AEM component and working fine. I have requirement to create experience fragment in AEM and should be rendered the view in react. Is there anyway to expose XF as service and 3rd party application or remote SPA can consumed XF.

Hi, We're integrating with an external system using a scheduler to make API calls and sync data to AEM under /var/abc/... The client requests a synchronization frequency of 30-60 minutes for approximately 100 nodes within AEMaaCS. Is that acceptable or what are all the factors we need to consider if we are going with shortened frequency? Note: Due to security reasons we cannot go with Client-Side or On-demand calls.

I have to show and hide few fields of the component dialog based on the template in which page is created.for this im triggering clientlibs and making show and hide fields using js (show and hide works fine) but how to get template details to the js to make it work as per my condition?

I faced an issue where jcr:uuid is not generated if we publish a page using manage publication, but not if we publish using quick publish. Upon investigation, we discovered that when we publish using quick publish, "mix:versionable" is added to the jcr:mixinTypes property. As a solution, I am trying to add a replication event handler that will add this "mix:versionable" mixin to the jcr:content node of the page if the property is not present. I am unable to add the mixin as I get an exception "org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.api.CommitFailedException: OakAccess0000: Access denied". Is there any to add this mix:versionable mixin to the node? If there is no way to add the mixin, I will add a custom ID upon page creation but that will require a lot of changes as we have already referenced jcr:uuid for our previous solutions. So, if anyone is aware of how to add this mixin, please provide some insights.
