Key based authentication / certificate for SMTP configuration

Hi There,

According the documentation, AEM mail service can be configured to SMTP service using user id and password. Is it possible to configure SMTP server with other authentication methods like key based or oauth? Please share your views.

Thanks,

Hi @cqbeginner

As oer the OOTB functionality currently it is possible with host, port, username and password. For few of the connections only host and port is enough and we can send emails without username and password as well.

But if you want to use any other auth methods it is not possible right now and requires customization.

Thanks!
