org.apache.jackrabbit.core.state.validatehierarchy

Does anyone know if setting org.apache.jackrabbit.core.state.validatehierarchy=true in the CQ_JVM_OPTS in the start script do anything on Jackrabbit Oak?  The only references I've found were for CRX.

It does nothing in oak,  it only works on Crx2.x

I am checking within Adobe about this, I have never seen this.
