Prevent duplicate metadata writeback in AEM images

I would like to know how to prevent duplicate metadata writeback in AEM images whenever the image metadata is modified in jcr node

For this case I would recommend you to raise a ticket at the AEM ticketing system.

We have created a list of custom metadata using metadata schema editor. Sometimes the xmlwriteback launcher executes multiple times whenever we edit the metadata. hence some of the custom metadata is written two are three times with empty values into the binary image

Eg : dc:custom : <empty>

         dc:custom[1] : actual value
