Hi,

Noticed that content authors somehow manage to add empty components of type nt:untructured when they simply copy paste text components. The names of components are as follows: text_copy_1746534951, text_copy_1260057420 e.t.c.

AEM 6.3.0.2

The annoying bit is that content author's can't remove these components as they do not have blue bar to select them/remove them, so the only option is to remove them via crx/de(renders as nt:unstructured).

Has anyone encountered this, what's the resolution for it?

Regards,

Peter

Why are the authors not properly dragging the components from the side rail into the AEM page? That reflects best practice - not copying and pasting components.

They are for unique components, but for most pages it's common textual content(imagine a common text with heading), so they just keep re-using the same component over and over again by copy/pasting it.

They will be slightly unhappy, if I tell them copy/paste is not best practice.

Peter
