Roll out option disabled for blueprint

Hi,

I have created a live copy page using "New Live Copy" option in siteadmin. Live copy gets created successfully and its page properties live copy tab is also enabled.

But if we check the blueprint page, roll out option is still disabled and blueprint tab is not highlighted in page properties.

Using AEM 6.1 .

Thanks,

Deepikaa

Hi ,

Sorry for delayed reply.

Actually we raised a day care support ticket  and sorted out.

Live copy tab was enabled  and there was relationship between blueprint and livecopy. conclusion is ,In touch ui - we can synchronize source page and livecopy page with out having a blueprint page created for source using sunchronize option but where as for classic ui,i need to have a blueprint page in order to rollout changes from source to livecoy.

Thanks,

Deepikaa

goto /siteadmin

Right Click on the livecopy site and select 'properties'

'Live Copy' tab should be enable where you would have mentioned the rollout configuration. Based on this configuration, sync would happen from the source. Are you looking for any other specific sync ?? Please give more details with the screenshot.

Yeah I got that. But when we create live copy directly without blueprint we can still synchronize with source. This Synchronize option is available in site's touch UI  but not sure how to do it in classic ui.

Also it is mentioned in adobe aem docs that live copy can always pull content from source by synchronizing with source.

My concern here is how do i do it in classic ui

Thanks ...

Deepika you can create live copy from any page but you can rollout from the source only if you define the source as blue print.

It is not related to rollout configure, rollout config is something which will trigger when you rollout or sync pages from source to live copies.

Yeah,I am using Standard roll out config. is there something else i should do? My live copy is in sync with source page but if i modify anything in source ,I am unable to rollout as it is disabled.

Then you should do rollout config in the livecopy.

Thanks Lokesh for the reply.

But if i create livecopy in the way i had mentioned too, i should be able to perform roll out from my source page right?

but i see roll out option is disabled on source page.

Have defined 'Blueprint'.

What you have created is the creating a 'live copy' from an existing site which doesnt mean that the parent site you have selected to create live copy becomes blueprint.

To defiine 'Blueprint'

1. Go to http://localhost:4504/miscadmin#/etc/blueprints

2. Create 'New Page'. Give the name and the title

3. Open the new page you created

4. Click on Edit, and select the source path

Now, you should be seeing 'Blueprint' option enabled for the site.

Another way of creating live copy apart from the way you have created.

After creating blueprint, you can use Create 'New Site' and Select the blueprint to create a live copy
