Stop Weekly auditlog Maintenance Task

I manually kicked off the Weekly AuditLog Maintenance task in the user interface yesterday and its been running for about 15 - 16 hours now and the server is really slowing down.  What's the proper way to stop the task?  I see in the AEM 6.1 SP1 release notes there may be some improvements in the performance of this task.

Thanks for the reply, I didn't see an option to stop the process hovering over the task.  The only options available were the caution message and the configuration.  The job finally finished after approximate 26 hours so this is no longer a pressing issue.

I think you can stop by hovering on the task. Refer [1] and see if it helps
