Understanding of Oauth Authentication in AEM

Hi All,

I was trying to understand what exactly is this OAuth authentication.

1] Have heard about LDAP authentication. So, where exactly does this OAuth thing come into play?

2] Is this a third party tool which we integrate with AEM for authentication purposes.

3] Have heard about SSO authentication. So, how exactly is it different from that.

4] Any example use-cases as to when one should go for this.

Any thoughts/good reference articles on this will be helpful.

How is the attached sample code used was there also some more documentation to describe how it is triggered?

Also it appears currently in my AEM 6.2 there are OAuth providers for Facebook and Twitter, but these are related to AEM Communities only? How can this be used for SSO?
