Vertical and Horizontal Orientation

I've been migrating my old articles to the new system to test out the beta but all of my layouts that are landscape only are getting letter-boxed. Can this new system only work in one orientation?

Yes, that's correct. At this time, we support only single-orientation apps—portrait only or landscape only. At some point in the near future, we're going to support both portrait and landscape articles within the app. But there are no plans to support dual-orientation articles in which you rotate the device to see a different layout of the same article.

I understand. I’m trying to help you find an answer and keep things on topic.

Sorry I didn't mean to double post, In my search I didn't realize that there was that seperation in the forums.  Also just to clarify I was merely replying to existing posts..

DPS and EPUB are completely different technologies. I saw both your posts in the InDesign EPUB forum.

Please keep any EPUB discussion there.

Bob does this apply to ePubs also?  I am having a similar issue when exporting.

Does this mean that it will no longer automatically rotate? That I'm stuck in either Portrait or Landscape based on how I build the app? I ask because we were using a multi-folio app before that featured both portrait and landscape folios.

I bet you're right. I do recall now seeing that as an option somewhere. Thanks!

Are you viewing 1024x768 articles on an iPad? Did you create a portrait app? If so, your landscape articles will be letterboxed. When you build the app, there is an option to choose Portrait or Landscape for both phones and tablets. My guess is that you chose Portrait when you built the app.
