What determines the number of publisher and dispatcher in AEM?

I am planning to setup a production environment for headless implementation. Typically people go 1 author and 3 publisher and 3 dispatchers. But I want to know what  determines the number of publisher and dispatcher in AEM?

 

Is there any guidance to follow ?

    It depends on the particular use-case and other factors which best determine the number of instances one would need on Production environment.

    You can get a better understanding of the same. And understand what best suites your use-case.

      Yeah, it depends on case to case. We can not define common setup for everyone. It depends how many user hit daily, weekly and monthly. I am trying to see some doc that tells how to define number of pub/disp and how to size the server. Is there any recommendation from adobe?
