Hi Team,

1) What is the use of the "ACS commons "Resource Resolver Mapping Rewriter" ? Is it Used only to shorten the long Url's in AEM Page.?

2) Is it More Sophisticated than linkchecker?

3) Is it a Custome Sling Rewriter Provided by ACS Commons?

If the usecase is clear when this feature should be used, please raise this as question on the ACS AEM Common project. I know that the authors of this tool are more active on github than here.

Rewriting links can best be understood with an example. For a clear use case - see this AEM article - where if a link references a PDF document it the AEM Dam - the link is modified -- Scott's Digital Community: Creating a Link Rewriter Service for Adobe Experience Manager 6.3
