HI,

Can a regular AEM user can change his password in AEM Authoring..? What is the role we need to assign to that usert to be able to change only his/her own password (self serving option)..?

The issue can be reproduced in AEM 6.5. User should be able to reset their passwords.

are they login with default password created by admin?

After login, they can change the password in profile -> change password

Please check they can read/modify access (you can create a group and assign the authors to this group)

HI Suresh, The issue is actually with Touch UI. In Touch UI when user clicks on Change password button, I see JS error in console. But using Classic UI it works fine. Not sure if this is AEM Touch ui issue or something wrong in our authoring
