I already try some external formatters, but they broke the dialog structure.

Hi,

Can you please share the exact steps/code to reproduce this problem ?

As mentioned by Scott, you can build valid dialog using CRXDE lite or by AEM bracket editor (Link:- https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/dev-tools/aem-brackets.html)

If the dialog is valid XML - how can a editor break the structure. IS the tool you are using somehow effect the XML?

Try to build valid dialog using CRXDE lite.
