Hello Team,   I am trying to get a click event value in evar using Adobe Launch but somehow it's not working. My problem statment is: We have some videos over our page and every video has a "data-id" value assign to it. I want to assign this custom value in an evar on the click of the play button. I have created a rule which is firing when I am clicking over video button but my evar is not getting any value or even firing. I added the code to get "data-id" in a data element custom code and assigning that data element to evar using set variables for Adobe Analytics, but somehow it is not working. When I try the data element code in browser console it works correctly.   How can I get the custom values in my evar on click?   Rule Click Event: Rule Action: Data Element: Data Element Custom Code:   $( ".grp-video__play-button" ).click(function() { var id = $(this).parent().parent().parent().attr('data-id'); return id; });     Video HTML:   <div

Hi team, I'm experiencing a very strange issue: I setup a rule to fire top of the page with a condition based on "Path without query string" (regex enabled).I keep getting the following error message in the console:Failed to execute "Path Without Query String" for {rule name} rule. e[o].then is not a functionTypeError: e[o].then is not a function   I setup tons of these basic conditions in rule in the past without any issues.Note that this time, we're using the AEP Web SDK but my rule event is the Core "Page Top", my condition is Core "Paths without query string", only my action is AEP Web SDK "Send Event".This should not make any difference, though, right?   Any idea of what I am doing incorrectly?Thank you!

Haven't used Launch... or Tags... or Platform Data Collection in a while, and just wondered when you set up an Adobe Analytics rule, should you add a condition to make sure the 's' variable is available? I'm using the Adobe Analytics extension, and in the past didn't perform this check as I thought it was something baked into using the Adobe Analytics extension. Many thanks!

We are redoing an mobile application and was hoping to use Adobe Launch for the data collection piece to simplify the analytics in the mobile app.    We were under the expectation that we could call MobileCore.trackaction or MobileCore.trackState which would allow us in Adobe Launch to listen on those events. And then apply any additional logic (filter in/out etc) and then fire the appropriate Analytics tracking event.   In our mobile application pod we did define "pod 'AEPAnalytics'" per various copy/paste docs we saw.   But the behavior appears to be calling trackAction and trackState is just sending the requests to Analytics and bypassing / ignoring Adobe Launch.   Then we discovered this gem in the documentation which seems to prove the above: https://aep-sdks.gitbook.io/docs/foundation-extensions/mobile-core/mobile-core-api-reference#trackaction   So I guess the ultimate question is ... Do we remove "pod 'AEPAnalytics'" from our mobile code and that w

After seeing this new video that was released https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsW3J0aehzU&t=1146s which mentions moving away from web SDK and doing everything on the server-side does that mean we need not do web SDK for new implementation? Is alloy.js going away? I understand the need for setting the FPID, but is the main reason for switching server-side approach to make your applications ready for all browsers so that no requests are getting blocked?

Is there a best way to fetch only the latest event of a specific type to evaluate a segment on the edge network for next-page personalization?   Here's the situation: Read an event from the site event or edge API server - say score. This score keeps changing based on the browsing behavior (up/down) Based on the score user is segmented into low/med/high probability segment Seg low - score <= 10 Seg med - 10 > score <= 25 Seg high - score > 25 Based on the segment the user falls in, personalization needs to take place   Here's what's happening: On the usage of sequence events conditions, it does not support edge evaluation. If we just use the score condition, then the user falls under multiple segments - since the score keeps changing. Any other thoughts/ideas to deal with this?   @danny-miller -> Any help on this is highly appreciated.

$(document).on("click","button",function() { ...... }); this worked in Adobe launch for button tagging. $("button").onclick = function() { ......}; This function works in the developer console and not in Adobe Launch. Does anyone have any idea why this does not work in Adobe launch?

Hello Team, I have a situation where I have more than 9 credits cards in a page and max comparisions you can do is with 3 cards   I want to track the final selction of cards instead of firing calls on different selectiosn before customer decides to hit the actual "Compare" button. This empty card slots doesn't have any CSS elements but the Card comapre button does   So, how do I fire the call only when they hit the compare button?     Thanks,Durga

Our in-house Marketing team is wanting to track time but have questions on how we efficiently have our internal communications team track. They are turning communications in 1-2 hours and are currently not entering them as projects into Workfront and they would prefer not to place every communication plan in the system. We have a rule in Launch to capture a paragraph(".link.sl-cta.video") click in the DOM. We also want to capture the text present in sibling div when the paragraph is clicked. We tried the below custom code in the data element to get the sibling value. nothing works. Any help appreciated. While I can create reusable attribute grouping via Field Group, i always confused as to when and why i should use grouping of attributes as Data Type vs Field Group.   I understand FG is root node, while DT is not root node. Hello everyone,   I try to load an JS script into a fdf file to make some control on the form. I load the js script with this piece of code (Java) : PDDocument document = PDDocument.load(pdfTemplateFile); PDActionJavaScript javascript = new PDActionJavaScript(code); document.getDocumentCatalog().setOpenAction(javascript); "PDDocument" and "PDActionJavaScript" are component from the library : org.apache.pdfbox:pdfbox-app:2.0.15.   When i open the pdf generated with a standard navigator viewer (chrome or Firefox), the javascript code will be played and worked as expected.   But when i open the same pdf file with the Adobe PDF Embed API, it doesn't work. I follow the Sample find in this repository : https://github.com/adobe/pdf-embed-api-samples.git and specialy the React samples that was interest me. Hi, I've started working with EDDL. I've created the below as an example var analytics = window.analytics = window.analytics || []; analytics.push( { "event": "prodView", "product": [ { "name": "<name>",  "sku": "<sku>",  "color": "<color>",  "brand": "<brand>" }] });   What I'm stuck on is, how do you create the required rules in Adobe Launch for this event? do we need to use custom code?
