Dynamic Proof using actual customer data

Question

Hi Community, Is it possible to dynamically generate email proofs using actual customer data not in Test profile in AJO? @satheeskannak @anuhya-y @mohan_dugganab @davidkangni

@ajo_wisdomchase - Have you tried the new beta feature to ingest via csv - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/journey-optimizer/using/test/preview-test/simulate-sample-input#custom-profiles

The current version allows you to preview content by adding values for the personalisation attributes in the email (via csv/ json or manually). Please let me know if this simplifies your current needs. We are also planning on auto-generating these variants to make it even more easy but that will be towards the end of H1 or early H2.

I typically use the following approach, though it may not be ideal in all situations:

Utilize the HTTP API to modify the customer profile to a test profile.
Use the test profile to send proof emails to the required email ID.
Once proofing is completed, revert the customer profile to its original, non-test state.

However, this process should be avoided if there is any risk of the customer profile being targeted in a live campaign or journey, as it could impact reporting metrics when a test profile is included.
