What are the different kinds of Targeting logic?

In Search&Promote I am creating a Date field with "Monday, 24. May 2013 06:30 PST", and I would like to have it displayed as May/24/2013". How can I do that? Thanks.

Hello, I have an mboxDefine() and after a certain condition i call the mboxUpdate() and also send some parameters along with. These parameters are seen in the network call as query parameters and also available in the associated parameter list of the corresponding location in test and target.However, when I try to access these parameters in the offer itself through mboxCurrent.getParameters(), only the default parameters are available (browser width, screen height etc) and  not the custom params that I passed.I have tried a bunch of things but so far have not been able to access the parameters in the offer itself. Any pointers will be helpful. Thanks.

Hi - anyone else having issues with Target Standard? We spent a good amount of time implementing this and have found it completely unusable due to the amount of bugs. The 2 primary issues we have right now that is preventing us from using it are;1) The hide/remove feature doesn't work in many scenarios. For example if I want to remove a button from a page sometimes it works but many times it doesn't. Is Target Standard incompatible with certain HTML, for example tables?2) Editing tests is not possible - when attepting to edit an expereince there are no menus available when clicking elements to change the page. The only way to make changes is to delete the test and start again.

Hi there,I'm in the process of integrating Adobe Target into our CQ website, and I have a question. From this documentation (http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/wcm/content-targeting.html), it seems that we are only able to use Segments created in CQ for targeting. "LIMITATIONS ON SEGMENTS AND ADOBE TARGETThe Target component supports CQ segments only. You cannot define segments or experiences using Adobe Target targeting rules. Also, when your Target component is using Adobe Target as the targeting engine, you cannot use segments that have the following characteristics:"Is there any way that we can make use of Adobe Target Segments to target content on our CQ site?Cheers,-Winston

First off, let me start by saying I am a T&T noob - and am 'learning as I go'.     I've been using T&T for about a month now, developing for some campaigns for my organization. One basic issue that I have revolves around the difference between mBoxCreate() and mbodDefine()/mboxUpdate() - especially when it comes down to performance.Right now, we create mboxs with mboxCreate within our global provisioning campaign to run our tests/experiences.   So each campaign we create typically creates is own mbox (or mutiple mboxs) for that campaign. This is working fine, but our site optimization team is on us to see if the mboxs can be created after the DOM is ready (right now, its happening before).By switching to a more dynamic model, we might be able to facilitate the site speed team and make them "happy"  - I'm just curious on the downsides of this plan, if if using mboxDefine/mboxUpdate is more or less efficient than just doing it the way we always have been via mboxCreate.One issue

Is it possible or is there a way, when creating Adobe Recommendations templates, to have a certain piece of code or whatever targeted section of the code, to be excluded from rendering inside of Recommendations?For example:I do not want to hard code the number inside of this string blahblah-blah-19-blahI want to EXCLUDE this 'section' (the number 19) of the string to allow the outside to update that number dynamically, like soblahblah-blah-[*$*]-blahIs this even possible inside of a Recos template?

Is there any way to export any data from Adobe Recommendations into Excel?  I would really love to download the front page overview into an excel file. Please advise!

I am implementing a 5x5 multivariate test.  After filling out the campaign with the "designed" components, I activated the test.  In order to see the alternate experiences, I cleared the cookies & cache, but we've only received two experiences out of a possible 25 experiences after dozens of cache clearing.   The oddity behind the two experiences was that one experience remained by & large dominate. The second experience only showed after clearing the cache 20 times, and then on a follow-up cache-clear it would revert to the first experience.  I tried setting up a separate test, but a similar experience was generated.   Is there a secondary component missing that will fix the near static experience?  Or is this functionality how the test is setup?

Hi,Could anyone please give me an advice on how to create a segment in T&T based on cookie value?What I've tried to do is to add an Expression Target:return document.cookie.replace(/(?:(?:^|.*;\s*)network\s*\=\s*([^;]*).*$)|^.*$/, "$1").toLowerCase().indexOf("par_") != -1This searches for "par_" string in the cookie "network".When I try to add this Expression Target I get the following error:Expression for rule Channel: Partner is not valid: "Syntax or runtime error: ReferenceError: "document" is not defined."I've looked at the Expression Target documentation (http://microsite.omniture.com/t2/help/en_US/tnt/pdf/js_expression_cheat_sheet.pdf) but I could not find any way of how to create the Expression Target based on the cookie.Can anyone help, please? Is there a way to target mobile users on Target Standard?

Hi S&P team, this is a request from Canadian Tire, for remote control 'index status' messages.  Customer uses Remote Control urls to initiate indexes, but there are no remote control commands that provide crawl status data, such as # of pages indexed, total index time so far, index complete, etc.  These index status messages would help the customer determine when they could initiate a new index.  Current 'priority' status message is not sufficient.  Can we add additional index status calls to the remote control commands?

Hi,I was wondering how I can create an mbox for a campaign which will change for every second user. The campaign I am creating is to check which color on a button has the highest click-through rate. I want to create an mbox which will change the color of the button from red to green for every second visitor. I also need to be able to tag which button color has been displayed so I can find out which color had the highest click through rate. I have the button wrapped in the div and the mbox create function in the code, but I do not know how to get the color to change or to tag the button for each color. How could I achieve this?Thanks

The docs say there is a delay, but I've waited about half an hour and still nothing.When I try to create Targeted content according to this http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/wcm/content-targeting.html , when I click the + icon to add an Experience, nothing happens.I'm not sure if these issues are related, but I assume issue 1 needs to be fixed for Adobe Target to work properly anyway.Can anyone assist?Cheers,-Winston

Hey there. I am singularly a Target Standard user and I'm unable to identify input boxes as a conversion. Using this click event is crucial to measuring the conversion for my experiment. Is there a way to force the conversion if we apply the conversion trigger directly to the element or do I have to use the Visual Experience Composer? I would prefer to just not use the VEC to trigger goal completions and instead use Dynamic Tag Manager since it is infinitely more flexible.

Our team uses Adobe Test & Target to target banner ads at certain “persona groups.” These banner ads are in hundreds of different campaigns. We pull metrics from the tool such as banner impressions and click-thru-rate %s for each of the persona groups for comparison. As of now, the process is very tedious as we have to pull each number manually from the tool. We’d like to automate the process somehow. Is there a way we can automatically load the T&T data into Tableau for analysis? Ideally, the data would be refreshed and updated from time to time, but if not, even a one-time pull (i.e., one-time data extract) would be great. As far as I'm concerned, Adobe Target doesn't have any aggregate data reporting option to include metrics for ALL campaigns and metrics for each of the persona groups).

Hi - we have a test that spans 2 different browsers - the 1st is IE that powers a desktop application and the 2nd is the user's default browser. The test starts inside IE and finishes on the user's 2nd browser. We've read all the documentation that is available (which isn't much) for doing this kind of stuff and we're tried every permutation of setting mBoxSession, mBoxPC and nothing seems to work. At best the functionality seems to work intermittently. When the user's pcID and session ID are matched across browsers I'd expect to see conversion activity attributed to the campaign but it's not.Anyone on here had experience with this?Thanks, Richard

We want use the Target to Analytics integration (so that we have the Target | Test & Target Reports | Campaigns report under Analytics) and currently there is a limitation that only 1 Target account can be tied to 1 Analytics company.  However, we have many report suites under our 1 Analytics company.  We also have many Target accounts so this prevents us from setting up the Target to Analytics integration for our multiple Target accounts (we can only choose 1 Target account that can use the Target to Analytics integration).  CustomerCare had us try moving some of the other report suites to their own separate Analytics company, but this workaround did not work either since the Analytics company must own (the report suite must have been originally created under) the report suite in order for the Target to Analytics integration to work.This limitation is very frustrating for large agencies. We are a large client and this prevents us from using the functionality we were originally sol

It would be nice, if it was posible to make true multipage test in target. You could take a look at how Optimizely solve this. It's very neat.In the userinterface in target, I see that I can make rules for running the same piece of content on multible pages. I would like to run a different piece of content on the two pages, but as a part of the same test.The thing we'd like to test could be, templates for copy writing on multible products, or templates for product specific banners.Here's an example of what a test might look like: Variant A Page X. Product text: "Buy product X in our company + (product description, Type 1) Page Y Product text: "Buy product Y in our company + (product description, Type 1) Variant B Page X. Hello - My company and I are just getting started on some Global Homepage Testing for our site.Our first area of testing is our current content of a flashing, rotating panels versus a static image panel with that same content. However, rather than solely testing the mbox content of flash vs. static, we also want to know how the total homepage is affected by the test based on what experience a customer was served. For example, if they saw flashing, did a submessage outside the mbox perform worse or better...and vice versa for the static experience. Essentially, everything outside the targeted mbox experiences A or B, should also be targeted with A or B appropriately.Is this possible through a Global mbox and targeting them within the same experience?Thanks for your help!

Why is there a difference between data I see in Adobe Target and data I see in Adobe Analytics?

I am working with a site that fires JavaScript functions at various points in a session.  Right now I am polling certain pages using setinterval at 1 second looking for the results of the a function having fired (a div's css display == 'block', a span's text == 'thank you', etc.).  Is there a better way to listen for a function to execute and then firing my own code in response?
