Is there a way to store the UUID's (universally unique identifier (UUID)) of the devices used by a visitor in his/her contact record? A universally unique identifier (UUID) is a 128-bit number used to identify information in computer systems.

My company is new to Marketo and we're setting up our channels, forms, etc. When someone downloads a piece of content, I want to know if they came via email, social media, organic web, etc. Does it make more sense to have each one as its own Marketo program and related SFDC campaign? Like Whitepaper 2020 - Social; Whitepaper 2020 - Email; etc. Or to use the campaign member status to show how they responded? Like "Responded - Social" "Responded - Email" Responded - Organic" etc?   I think in either case we will use UTM parameters to tell us how they got there so the question is really more about do we add them to SFDC in separate campaigns or with separate statuses?  

We have duplicate lead with email address and looking to perform lead merge. So, I am looking for Marketo support help for below action   1. Refrain loosing data for custom object when lead merge is done  2.  Bulk lead merge   Does Marketo offer this service based on request raised?

Hello, I wanted to know how do I add a thank you message after submitting a form. I want the people to stay on the same page. I couldn't find a place for a message in the setting of the form. Thank you.

Does anyone had any situation with data not showing in RCE. I tagged the analytics behavior for the program as Inclusive and also period cost for one month is added (not sure that's the reason for not showing), and when I try to run a Program Opportunity Analysis Report, the data isn't showing only Program name is showing. The program is also synced with the campaign in Salesforce where there is information about opportunities, so not quite sure what I'm doing wrong, any help is appreciated.   Thanks!

I'd like to further customize the CTA buttons within our Marketo emails. My hope is to make a simple change to the border-radius of the buttons so that they more closely reflect what is on our website. I am hoping to get some advice on how to go about customizing a button element? What are the steps you'd go through for this? Ideally, I would like to continue being linked to the Template I am using. I know sometimes when you edit the code directly, Marketo will unlink the template (which in turn closes access to the modules in the email builder.)    Thanks in advance! 

I am hoping you can help me out. I have an email that is giving me a few problems with an email rendering in Outlook. Below is a forwarded screenshot from one user's email and it appears fine.  I've also copied in a pic from my boss' Outlook - her hero image (a blue/green rack of servers) is cut-off as the width is cropped. it may be the code, but I've test sampled this thing on many different computer and hers is the only error I've found. Marketing would like to create a 3-step process to get someone to register for a demo. Here's a simple outline.    Step 1: Email Address   Step 2: First Name Last Name Solution Interest   Step 3 - depends on the answer to Solution Interest above: Interest1:  - Company Name - Current Tool - Timeline - Team count   OR Interest2: - Company Name - Number of Agents - Digital Channel   OR Interest3: - Company Name - Primary community - Number of customers - Timeline   You can see that steps 1 and 2 are straightforward. Step 3 shows some common and some different fields depending on the answer to "Solution Interest" in Step 2. For Step 3, I was originally thinking that I could just set up using visibility rules on the third form but there are some fields in common between the various options and for any given option, the fields in that area need to be required but you run into challenges if a required field is hidden.    @SanfordWhit

We are setting up a new Marketo instance, and have activated the SugarCRM Connector following the product documentation.   However, it would appear that every Person record created in Marketo is getting created in Sugar as a Lead, even if they should only be marked as a Target.   Does anyone know how to appropriately distinguish Leads and Targets via the connector so that we don't flood our sales team?

I am currently doing some integrations for my company using the Marketo's REST API and recently I've encountered some strange behaviour related to program cloning via the specific REST API endpoint. Good Morning all. Can Velocity tell a test send from a live send? We are doing some stuff where modules get commented out based on lead attributes (which works very well) along with a counter (which combined essentially give us 'show modules that meet lead criteria, but only as long as the counter is less than or equal to four), but it would be handy to be able to display all the modules when doing a test send to ensure they are all rendering/behaving as expected.   Cheers Jo

Hey Marketeers!    I'd love to know the processes and programs y'all have in place for your on-demand webinars. We're currently using GoToWebinar (but I'm sure the process is similar for other providers).  In our setup, we have 2 separate event programs. One is for the live webinar and one is for the on-demand webinar. They both have registration pages, thank you pages, and watch pages.  I would like to combine them into one and if you have any examples, I'd love to see yours! 

Hello Marketo Community,   My Finance team wants to be able to track email sends, opens, clicks for invoices they sent to customers through their outlook and management is keen on using Marketo to track it and not any external email tracking plugins for outlook. I found a solution for this through Marketo Sales Insight. However, I'm not sure what the cons could be of using Sales Insights for this purpose. Hence reaching out to the community to know if any of you have used this approach before? Is this best practice? Is there anything else available for tracking invoices sent to customers except Marketo?   Looking forward to hearing back   Thanks!

Hi there. I have a Smart Campaign that is triggered by multiple data value changed entries in the Smart List section. It works just fine, however if multiple fields get changed at the same time for a Lead Record, the campaign gets called multiple times.  Technically, things still seem to work fine - but it is REALLY ugly. Nothing in the Run each person through the campaign flow: settings is granular enough, and even if it were, I wouldn't want to use it as there is the potential a record may be updated twice in close succession, and I'd want the smart campaign triggered twice. Hi,I am looking out for a solution where as soon as someone clicks on a certain link (xyz.com) and falls on our company's website page (Non Marketo page), the additional information {{Lead.Id}} gets passes over to the URL.One way of doing this is adding the {{Lead.Id}} token in each URL in an email, which will be tedious task as there are lot of Marketers using Marketo to send their emails and thereby would not be feasible.Therefore, I am looking out for a permanent solution which would be implemented to all emails for this URL.Thank you,Deepak

Hi Everyone, I would need a smart solution for the following problem: I am building a Landing Page with Form for an ROI 'calculator'. We are asking 6-7 different questions on a form, and based on the answer, we give recommendations on the TY. But not all answer has a recommendation, just a couple of them. For example: 1. question - A, B, C answer. If the lead selects the answer 'B', we have a recommendation. If select A or C, there's no recommendation. Same for the next 6 questions On the TY page, the lead can see the recommendation, but only those which are valid. So it can be 2 or maybe 6.How can I solve this on the landing page to make the look and feel nice, and no white space, and empty part on the page? The only solution which on my mind is to use tokens, but I hope, we have another solution. Thank you for your help    

Hi all   Issue is as the subject line. The sync between our Marketo and Salesforce sandboxes, which was previously working fine, has stopped. The error appearing seems straightforward enough:   The following fields are hidden from the Salesforce sync account markto@xxxxx   Object Event_History Field SystemModstamp   Edit the visibility permissions in Salesforce for the required fields.   However, the feedback from our Salesforce admin is as follows:   There isn’t actually an object called Event History, its an additional field history tracking you can enable. Mod stamp is a standard field. Its very strange that the field is suddenly not available to the sync, as it’s not a field that is touched. We also have three event objects all called event, 2 custom and 1 standard object.   Can anyone advise what fields/objects we need to make visible in order for this to work? We have created a Marketo landing page with two hidden field in which one field(email) pre-filled is enabled and another field(unsub) is disabled. Problem: - in database blank lead is being created. What are the possible scenario for this case when blank lead is created and how should it can be fixed?

Hi communityWe are currently running a campaign which allows leads to fill out a form to receive information on their preferred study option. I've noticed that 10 leads have filled out the form twice, but haven't changed their study option preference so have basically submitted the exact same form values twice. This doesn't always happen in quick succession - 7 of the 10 re-submitted hours or even days apart, and 3 leads submitted the same form within the same minute. One lead also had three separate form fills days apart with the exact same lead values for a completely different campaign.I don't think there is a bot at play here, as I have checked each of the submissions and they are all from the same IP address and user agent. They are all from mobile though, so I'm wondering whether it's possible that the forms have have inadvertently been re-submitted somehow at a later date from the same mobile browser? The landing page redirects to a thank you page on submission, so I'm not sure
