Marketo

We are currently facing an issue with field name changes in our CRM. When we rename fields in Microsoft Dynamics (MSD), these changes do not reflect in Marketo, affecting our ability to use these fields in smart list filters. We have learned from support that field names are locked during integration and cannot be edited. However, due to our process requirements, we need the ability to change field names in the CRM and have these changes flow smoothly to Marketo. This functionality is crucial for our operations and should be considered a fundamental feature of the tool. We kindly request that this be implemented for our instance as soon as possible to avoid any operational confusion and ensure seamless integration.

Hi Team,I want to give some idea regarding form notifications. If any user edit the forms a particular permission will be there that one will receive notification from Marketo directly whichever form gets edited. This will help users to identify the changes in forms and also they will keep an eye if any critical issue may occur on live.I would like to suggest this idea to Marketo support and implement in Marketo. Please let me know if this can be a good idea to implement.

When we add multiple email addresses in the send alert flow step it sends an alert email to the first email address and cc's all the others. Can we please have an option to control the recipients and CC list through this flow step? However, you can use multiple flow steps to send the Alert to the recipient but imagine if there are 10+ recipients and you have to add an equivalent count of flow steps to send the same Alert.

It would be great if cloning a campaign folder or sub folder was an option instead of having to clone the individual assets within the campaign folder separately.

Allow users to create a new draft or version of an existing campaign to make changes and push live when complete. This would allow us to update campaigns without having to pause them and risk records slipping through the cracks in the down time. With this feature users could plan and build out updates ahead of time and keep in draft until ready to publish rather than having to update the campaign real time.

This is something that will help avoid redundancy and duplication in Design Studio.Let's assume I have several workspaces and similar programs that must exist in different workspaces. As of now, I've created many Global Emails as the number of workspaces, but if I could share these emails across them, I can remove redundancy and the possibility of oversights about amend and edits.

Please allow programs to be shared between workspaces.  In a global deployment where you have content creators and content distributors in different workspaces, it would be very helpful in these environments to have a workspace to create a test programs and then have them shared among the workspaces where content is being delivered.

There is no way to set an alert when records fail to sync to an SFDC campaign in a bulk manner or even create a report along the lines of ..... "Filled our form" -and- "not was added to SFDC campaign -- is ANY" And no way to in a Smart List to query the person log entry for:   "Sync to SFDC campaign - Failed" Each lead has to be manually checked (or uploads monitored), and requires folks doing this on a regular and timely fashion. Would be great if I could have some kind of alert, or even a single Smart List that uses the 'is any' operator, for leads that were not added to an SFDC campaign in a reasonable time period. Thanks!

We work very closely with our Data teams and use a lot of various API connections pushing and pulling data from Marketo. One of the annoying hurdles is that when an error occurs and I get told "there was an error in Program 3387", there's no way to search by Program ID.This would be insanely helpful instead of having to go through every program individually. Maybe there is a way currently?

Today, when you query Marketo's REST API to see the structure of each Marketo activity, you'll notice that Activity ID 37 (Delete Lead) has the following structure:  { "id":37, "name":"Delete Lead", "description":"Delete lead from Marketo database", "primaryAttribute":{ "name":"Lead ID", "dataType":"integer" }, "attributes":[ { "name":"Remove from CRM", "dataType":"boolean" }, { "name":"API Method Name", "dataType":"string" }, { "name":"Modifying User", "dataType":"string" }, { "name":"Request Id", "dataType":"string" } ] }However, the attributes described are not actually returned when retrieving Delete Lead activities from the API; there is no data, and as a result "Remove Fr

It would be great if you could change the Landing page fallback on asset expiration. A common use case would be a webinar registration page that is set to expire after the webinar has taken place and then redirect to a page that tells the person that registration is no longer possible.

I think it would be extremely helpful, if you could enhance the "New Person" activity with all field values the person came into Marketo with. This is a little scarce:You can do it with form submissions or with merges, why not at lead creation?

We utilize Marketo forms to gather opt-ins for a major newsletter. During an accessibility review, it was highlighted that these forms are not designed with accessibility in mind. While clients can make the necessary adjustments, it requires considerable effort. We believe this enhancement should be implemented by Marketo, rather than placing the burden on clients.

The ability to change a program success date to a date token would be awesome..

I'd like to have the possibility to send offline conversions to the LinkedIn ad network, same as this is possible for Facebook and Google.

When creating a new custom field in Marketo, it would be really helpful if a description box was provided below the field name. This would allow for the addition of notes during the field creation process that could be referenced whenever that field was selected in the Field Management. Then, we could better understand the history for why a field was created. It would also be great to have a timestamp whenever that field is created to know how old or new a field is.

Priority Column to Email Activities Can Priority column in Best Bets be configured so it's also added to the Email Activities? If not, is this on the road map? See attached screenshots. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/marketo/using/product-docs/marketo-sales-insight/msi-for-microsoft-dynamics/features/marketo-tab/email-activities

I wish there was a way to see in a report if a person had more than one custom object associated to them or see a data change from a custom object. For example if I created a custom object for "Cars owned" and someone owned multiple cars, I wish there was a way to see in a report if they had multiple cars or not tied to them.

Hi, It would be extremely helpful if Marketo could provide a Data Dictionary that includes all standard Marketo fields with a description (and a bonus, if it includes links to documentation for the field or important notes). This would make administering (and onboarding) Marketo much quicker and easier. Helpful information would include:Field data typeSystem field vs. standard (any restrictions, able to be modified, etc.)Special considerations Dun and Bradstreet provide such a file that is very helpful (see below example).

The ability to mass add and delete tags on programs is needed in Marketo. Currently, the only option to change tags on programs is to enter each program manually and add or delete the relevant tags one by one. When a large number of programs have to be updated this business case becomes hours worth of manual labor.Use cases are as follows:Organization is beginning to use RCA/RCE reporting and wants tags to better sort and filter programs in various reports. Since this is the first time an urgent business need has come up to use tagging, many legacy and active programs exist that have to be mass updated with new tags created. We would like to add the correct tags to relevant programs en masse.A subset of programs no longer requires a specific tag, though the tag is still needed at an organizational level for use in other programs. We would like to remove the tag from the relevant programs en masse.Ideas to resolve:The ability to pull a report on programs to find particular subsets, expo

Current Situation: In Marketo's default sync error reports, some errors display the Marketo ID but lack the Salesforce (SFDC) ID. This omission makes it challenging for users to quickly identify and resolve sync issues, as they must manually search for records using the Marketo ID and then navigate to the corresponding SFDC record.Proposed Enhancements:Add Marketo ID as a Displayable Field: Include the Marketo ID as a selectable field in the sync error report view. This addition would allow users to easily view the Marketo ID alongside other error details, providing a direct reference point for troubleshooting.Include SFDC ID in Sync Error Report: Enhance the sync error report to include the SFDC ID for records encountering sync errors. By displaying both Marketo and SFDC IDs in the report, users can quickly correlate issues between Marketo and Salesforce without the need for manual cross-referencing.

Today, if a Marketo user is entering email addresses into their system, there is no sanitization of characters that may not be allowed by RFC 6530. While the majority of Unicode is technically valid for an email address, the standard itself notes:"The local parts of those addresses MAY be made up of any ASCII characters except the control characters that RFC 5321 prohibits, although some of them MUST be quoted as specified there."If we cross-reference this section of RFC 5321, you'll notice that it explicitly calls out that the specific characters noted are "control characters (US-ASCII 0-31 and 127; inclusive)". Likewise, any form of whitespace is explicitly excluded from the email spec: RFC 5321, Section 4.1.2 defines the syntax for mailbox, local-part, and domain, which excludes whitespace and RFC 5322, Section 3.2.3 details the allowed characters (atext) for atoms and dot-atoms, excluding whitespace. Recently, I was working with a client who had a record's email address f

Current Situation: In Marketo, creating a Smart List that includes Salesforce (SFDC) campaigns requires entering the exact campaign names. This process can be tedious and prone to errors, especially when dealing with multiple campaigns.Proposed Enhancement: Introduce a simplified filtering option where users can specify criteria such as "contains," "starts with," "ends with," or "does not contain" when selecting SF campaigns in Smart Lists. For example, if a user wants to include all campaigns related to a specific product line, they could simply set the filter to "contains 'ABC'" instead of entering each campaign name individually.

Hello,/rest/v1/leads/submitForm.json submitting to this endpoint email with symbols "_ + -" etc... Makes sometimes timeout an entire request. I think it would be a good idea to implement an encoder on the Marketo side that converts and allows these symbols, or instantly fail validation. In any case, this feels like it is not handled as sometimes it returns  "code": "604","message": "Request timed out"

Currently the calendar file token for events doesn't seem to allow meeting reminders.   Meeting reminders on the calendar is important functionality that is currently missing and I think need to be added.  Adding this would help improve event attendance.  Can you add the ability to schedule the calendar reminder to pop up 15 minutes before the meeting occurrence?
