Ability to make "include view as a webpage" the default setting for all emails or by template

Currently it is an annoying extra workflow step to change the settings on every new email we send out to "Include View as a Webpage." I would like to be able to make this a default either system-wide or on the Template level. As is, I have to remind my company over and over again to include this, as it is necessary on 9 out of 10 emails we send, and a lot of time is wasted going back to revise. Please help!

@Meagan: you can put it anywhere in your template, snippet or email. And yes, it should work with CNAME aliases also (although I haven't tested it)

Very cool... Question for Elliott or Jep, so by adding this code, it would allow us to use different CNAMEs (refernce different domains) if we have multiple brands?

Can you provide any guidance about where in the HTML in needs to go?  And whether this would have any impact on our (future) plans to improve email pre-header info for gmail etc?

Thanks!

This is what we do and it works well.

Amy, good idea to have a default setting for View as Web Page. As an alternative, you can already add "View as Webpage" to your email template today. Example HTML snippet to add:

To view this email as a web page, <a href="http://info.acme.com/index.php/email/emailWebview?mkt_tok=##MKT_TOK##">click here</a>

You have to replace info.acme.com with your CNAME.

This also allows you to do fancy stuff with Dynamic Content, such as translating in multiple languages.

I agree, this feature would help us deliver a better experience to our readers.
