the better way to add new contacts without creating a new stream in the engagement drip program each time a new contact gets added?
Is there any way?

Well, I think this question may need a bit more details!
But here's something that I think may help you - You can have an inbound entry campaign that'll add people to the EP - just add the respective triggers and filters you wanna listen for, and in the flow add a person to the Engagement Program using "Add to Engagement Program" flow step. This way you don't need to define the transition rules at the stream level.
