Adding new members to SFDC Campaign used in engagement program

If I were to add new members to a SFDC campaign that is currently used by a stream in an engagement program (smart list Member of SFDC Campaign X, Flow Add to Stream 1), do the new members enter the stream from the very beginning, or do they enter the stream at all? Would it be best to create a separate SFDC campaign for the different batches of new names?

Yes, but if you used a campaign trigger like

Added to SFDC Campaign and Member Status=X

Add to Engagement X and Stream 1

they would start at the top of the Stream and work their way down.

They do not enter the stream at all.  The only enter the engagement program if you add them to it specifically.

Hi Josh - What would happen if the engagement program was synced to the SFDC campaign?

I would assume that they would get added to the program as members but won't be sent any emails unless we still create the campaign trigger like

Program Status is changed and New Status=X

Add to Engagement X and Stream 1

Would this be the case?

Thanks

Peter
