An email with the same name already exists (Cloning)

Hi Marketo,

I'm not sure if a ticket should rather be logged or if this is the way Marketo is designed.

I have two folders in my "Templates" section. I want to clone from the one folder to the other. In trying to do so I get an error as seen in attachment.

Is a folder not suppose to separate files from each other regardless of the respective folders containing files with the same name?

Thanks.

Hi Erwin,

No, this is the expected behavior. Folders are for keeping thing tidy, but yet, your templates and emails in the design studio need to have distinct names.

The only exemple you can have of assets with the same name is when they belong to a program, and this is because their name is prefixed with the program name (and you cannot have 2 programs with the same name either).

And also,

You should rather post your questions to the products sections than to the "champions group", you would be much more likely to get an answer.
