Archiving programs

I am excited to learn more about the new feature for Disable Campaigns on Archive. Our instance has changed hands at least two times with new leaders and has been operational since 2020. I would be interested to hear how others in the community are using applying the new feature?

Hi

I recently enabled the feature. We don't archive many programs throughout the year, only in very few cases. However, at the end of the year, we go back and clean up the entire previous year by archiving all the programs. This process usually takes a couple of days since we don't do it all at once. Instead, we go through each program, deactivate it and then archive it. Knowing that we can only archive the programs and that smart campaigns will be deactivated automatically will really streamline our process and help us cut the time in half.

We just stumbled upon this recently. It's in Treasure Chest:

Can't add much more insight though. We turned it on, and we expect it to do what it says, but haven't gotten proof of it yet.

Hi @bekkah ,

Not able to get your actual ask.

You can not Archive a Program or a smart campaign.

Also if a folder is archived campaign are not deactivated automatically.

Please clarify what exactly you are trying to achieve.

@uditmathur, I think OP is talking about the new feature that could be enabled in the Marketo Admin > Treasure Chest.

@bekkah, we enabled it recently too. I'm already liking this feature, as it's automating the manual work of deactivating the campaigns within the Archived folder. With this feature on, you don't need to worry about any campaigns processing people once the program /folder containing it is archived.
