Associating a lead with Program via API

Im looking to do a bulk import via API and associate leads with a specific Marketo program. How can this be done? Bulk import is straightforward but is there a way to associate a lead with Program via API?

You can trigger on Added To List and flow the person into a Program.

Importing directly into a Program isn't recommended anyway; a static List should be used as an intermediate step.
