Automated Name Badge Printing with Check In App?

I have an upcoming event and would love to find some way that when we check people in for our event, that we can have a printer produce a name badge once they check in. 

I know this is a long shot, but is there any way to automate this within Marketo? I have a label writer printer that I would be using and have connected to my laptop and was hoping that we could have people check in via an iPad and then use their updated status to produce the name badge.

Is this a possibility or am I trying to do the impossible?

It would be difficult to do without some serious hacking. You could write your own webservice via Webhooks and use that, use a provider like http://www.acteva.com/ for help...or here's a crazy idea:

When their progression status changes, have a trigger campaign that sends an email with all of their information (properly formatted) to you and have it automatically print (sample instructions here: http://email.about.com/od/mozillathunderbirdtips/qt/et_auto_print.htm)

if you want a less hacky way to do it, feel free to reach out...my firm (The Pedowitz Group) does integrations with Marketo all the time. Thanks!
