We sell products in virtually every major language around the world. It would be really cool if there was a built in function to enable automatic translation as part of a program by segmentation. Is this on the roadmap anywhere?

    If  translation could be linked to language segmentation and used with dynamic content we'd be onto a winner.

    Working in EMEA with up 12 languages translation and proofreading are what bogs me down.

     

    The power of ai and existing translation tools a solution must be around the corner soon.

    We're using XTM (crosslang) and would like to integrate this seamlessly.

    Anything on the roadmap for XTM?

    We currently use Smartling...are there any plans to integrate with them? Would be nice to route translations through there (sourced from an English Marketo email, translated/edited in Smartling, and sent back to Marketo to blast out)...the localization team would heart you.

    Mail Chimp provides a translation bar at the top of emails. Something similar would be a nice addition to Marketo.

    The preference would be that machine-translation becomes better such that it could be done without needing to rewrite the copy. I understand the many cultural nuances that can get missed by a pure machine-translation though so am sensitive to a broad brush stroke approach. It would need to be the right technology partner to make it happen and do it well.

    Are you looking for your copy to be machine-translated based on the segmentation, or to choose the right language content based on segmentation, but have your own staff write the copy?
