Hi -- We're interested in receiving some reporting from our blog, and I'm curious to learn how other have integrated this with Marketo. We run our blog and site on WordPress. Does anyone use tags for their blog channel? Thanks! Stephanie

Frank is right. Here is a little bit of more information.

1. Create Blog as a new channel.

(Admin / Tags / Channels)

2. Define your success path (Steps, Statuses and Success)

To define success: Identify what is the objective of that blog?

My recommendation is to define your call to action as success if you have one.

3. Consider using tags

You might want to use tags such as author names or content type

Remember to use this channel when you build your program.

You can integrate your WordPress with Marketo to send automated blog updates and digests. Take a look atLaunchpoint webpage and see the solutions provided by Marketo partners.

As Frank mentioned, you need to set up a channel in Marketo for your blog with success steps so you can track activity on the Blog, then also implement Munchkin code on you blog to complete the loop.

There are wordpress integration available as well if you are interested:  launchpoint.marketo.com

We have a Channel for our Blog, with the following Statuses:

Status Visit

Step 10

Status Engaged

Step 20

Status Subscribed

Step 30

Then we created Smart Campaigns to record people when they do the above actions. We can then report on this.

Hi Frank,

What would your smart campaign say in terms of the actions they do? Or what information would you use to determine through Marketo if they've visited a blog, engaged a blog, or subscribed to one?
