Buttons are linked together

Hi there,

I am having an issue with one of our templates. The issue was when I update the link on one of the buttons, it changes the link on the second button as well. The two buttons seem to be linked to each other somehow/using the same global variable. How do I looked for this in the code or how can I fix this?

You can check if both the links in the template are using the same global variable in the <a> tag's href attribute (snapshot below). You can check the global variable's name by looking at the HTML source editor of the button/module in the email editor and use the global variable name to look for the <a> tags referencing them in the template.

If you could help us with the template code, we could help locate the <a> . To fix this, you can change the global variable in one of the link's href attribute in the template - so that both the links don't refer the same global variable.

As per the below snapshot - Button_Text_TypeA_url global variable is being used in the href attribute of <a> that uses Button_Text_TypeB as link text.

I think changing href attribute's value to reference the Button_Text_TypeB_url global variable which is already defined in the meta tag should essentially do the trick.
