Cannot edit 2.0 emails HTML, Admin privilege

I'm trying to make some changes in a 2.0 email asset but for some reason I am getting the "You do not have sufficient privileges to perform this action" error. I've double checked the admin role settings and everything is checked. How can I give myself and other admins permission to edit the HTML in email assets?

I understand getting an error if I was erasing the declaration of a variable in the meta tags and created a reference error but I can't even add white space… seems silly.
