Clicked Link and Visited webpage fields grabbing??

Hi all! Hoping you can help...

I am building smart lists that target specific audiences based on behavior.

I have been using Clicked Link in Email - contains- "keywords" (performance, engagement, etc) and the same for the "visited webpage" field. I am getting data, but I am unclear as to the sourcing.

I am not using specific links, only key words...where/what is this grabbing or scanning from??

You’re just searching the links themselves. For Visits Web Page this doesn’t include the query string, for Clicks Link in Email it does.

Thank you @sanfordwhiteman! I've been using "contains" and key words themselves, and both fields (clicked link and visited web page) are pulling in contacts - does your explanation mean that the clicked link in email is not pulling in the correct contacts, or pulling in random contacts?

Nothing’s random about it... it’s searching the URLs for matches.
