Confusion around which domain needs mkto on the SPF record

We send all our emails currently from our main corporate domain. We also have a separate sub-domain that we use for our "branded domain". Am I understanding this right that we don't need mkto on the SPF record for our corporate domain and only need it on our branded domain? DKIM should be on both though right?

You only need to include Marketo in the SPF record for your branded envelope sender (sub)domain.

DKIM corresponds to your From: header domain.
