Content Exhausted in Engagement Program for Non-Openers

Hi all,

We have an engagement program with Stream 1 having 7 emails. We'd like to have Stream 2 having same content as Stream 1 and members of stream 1 who all received all content and didn't open any email should start receiving emails from Stream 2. Basically, we're re-targeting non-openers of stream 1 by sending the same content again using another stream.

When we created Stream 2 and transitioned non-openers of stream 1 - they didn't receive first email and it says Content Exhausted.

Please suggest how to make non-openers of stream 1 receive the same content again using another stream?

Engagement program doesn't send the same content 2x to a single person. There are certain nuances between resending content when using email assets and nested default content programs in the engagement program streams, but in neither case, the EP would re-send the content. Even though people didn't open the email, since they were already sent the content, everyone was marked as content exhausted in stream 2. You could clone out the content and add it to Stream 2 instead of re-purposing the same content from stream 1. I'd advise you to use the nested default program in your engagement program instead of plain email assets as with the former you get a lot more customization options, e.g., making a person member of the cloned default program in stream 2 when they engage/open the email from the first send, so they don't get resent the cloned version even after they open up the first email after you transition them to the stream 2.

Hi @darshil_shah1, Thanks for your prompt response. I liked the idea about nested programs and it makes sense. Since the Stream 1 emails were sent about 2 months back and due to time constraints, we would like to have quick fix to it. So, We decided to go forward with cloning the asset and re-initiating the flow.

Since in the current stream (Stream 2) members are already exhausted. not sure if we should just replace the content in the current stream with the new cloned one's or create another stream?

In your case, either should be fine as no one in stream 2 was sent any content! You could always add the cloned email assets at the top of stream 2 and deactivate/remove the original/existing email assets from it instead of deleting stream 2 and creating a new one altogether.
