Create activity types through API

I'm trying to find information on how I can create new activity types through the REST API. The docs only show how to GET the existing activity types, and the only information I can find about creating new types is going through the dashboard. Cloud Elements has the ability to create types for Marketo through their API, so I'm assuming there's some type of information out there about hitting Marketo's API directly to do the same thing. I'm trying to move my integrations off of Cloud Elements. Anyone know where I can find the right information?

Gotcha. That's what I was afraid of. So as of right now, there's no way to add activity types through an API unless you use one of their partners that have this beta open to them?


Well, it may not actually be restricted to partner keys (I have access but haven't tried it ) but I know it's not supported yet.

Where do you see CE creating Activity Types (not Activities)?

It's under their 'external-activity'

Yep, that's a beta endpoint. Open to them as a Partner.
