Customize the path name of a landing page

As soon as, a landing page is created, Marketo can not change the path name of the URL.  For instance, Marketo cannot change the URL from "abc.com/page1.html" to "abc.com/whitepapers/page1.html".  This creates more work when creating destination goal in GA and spends more # goals in GA more than required.

Sarah,
I went to the "edit URL settings", but I cannot add "/whitepapers/".  The only thing I can change is the .html name.

Josh,
I am not sure what you meant by "redo the URL" because the URL is automatically given by Marketo every time I create a new landing page.  As you said, Marketo puts all landing pages at the root domain, and there is no way I can add a path (the URL Tools won't allow me).

You can absolutely make that URL change in Marketo.

If your root domain is http://www.abc.com, and you want to change http://www.abc.com/page1.html to http://www.abc.com/whitepapers/page1.html, just right click on the landing page, select URL tools, edit URL settings. Change the URL to what you want after the root domain and throw away the old URL (or create a redirect if need be).

All marketo paths are "root" paths, there is no way to change this.

You can use domain aliases or redo the URL if that will help using URL Tools.
