Design Update: Alert Emails Do Not Process when Email Suspended =True

I have noticed that a SEND ALERT flow step will not process when the field email suspended = TRUE on a lead record (details on field below).

Why is this a problem?:  If anyone has an automated campaign that sends alerts to your sales team, you might be affected.  There might be some leads where the alerts are not sent.

In my case, a lead filled out a form, submitted a phone number, and because our thank you letter was rejected by the lead's email server as SPAM, an alert was NOT sent internally to Sales.

Luckily I manually caught this, but I do not understand why the alert flow step would be blocked by this field and think it should be changed.  It could be costing you.

Btw, I believe this has been corrected by Techincal Support.  Can mark this as done now.

Yep, I do not think any field should prevent an alert from sending internally.  This functionality introduces manual processes to check that your alerts are actually getting sent.

Oh wait. I read this as Marketing Suspended, which doesn't have this issue. Fair point, this is weird behavior.

How were you able to do that?  I thought Email Suspended was a system field that was read only?  I cannot even change that field in my instance.

The problem does not occur often, but when it does, that is exactly why it happens and I have had support confirm that is why it is occurring.

So, I just tested this. I manually set a lead to Email Suspended and sent an alert- I got the alert. Are you still seeing this?
