I have searched the forums but were not able to find the answer I was looking for.
Could anyone give insight into if or not we can lay a DFP audience pixel into our emails for re-targetting?
I imagine it would work if the email is opened in a browser, but what about Outlook?
Any thoughts would be appreciated

The answer is yes, but it does have a couple of minor caveats.
Not everyone will allow images to be downloaded. Some only accept the text version etc.
It would work for the majority of people though and would be useful for your re-targeting purposes. This would include non browser e-mail clients like Outlook as well.
