Discrepancy in Email Reports in Analytics and Revenue Explorer

I created monthly Email performance Reports in Revenue Explorer. However, when I create a similar report in Analytics using a standard Email Performance Report, there is a small difference in the numbers. The different is not very big but can not be ignored.

Any idea why this might be happening?

This is a known issue and it is documented somewhere around this site if you search. I believe there are two primary causes

  • RCE is synced overnight and doesn't reflect changes since then
  • RCE looks at leads, not emails, and if leads were removed, your data may shift slightly.
