Do back and forth emails between sales and prospects count towards communication limits?

Our sales people often will have many back and forth emails with prospects in order to schedule meetings, or answer questions.   If this occurs, will the back and forth emails count towards communication limits, or just the first email that initiated the conversation?

Thanks!

HI Rachel,

It's unlikely that all these email are sent from Marketo, are they?

If they are not, they cannot count against communication limits.

Furthermore, AFAIK, sales emails do not count against comm limits.

As Greg mentioned, I've only found Marketo generated emails to count towards comm limits. If they are using MSI to request emails, this might be an issue towards comm limits. But otherwise, direct emails aren't counted.

Thank you, Greg!  Our sales team will be sending emails from the marketo outlook plug-in and tracking them -  and I just wanted to be sure that we wouldn't be heavily limiting their communications with prospects if emails are sent and tracking with MSI outlook plug in.  Thanks!
