Dynamic Content - Button Not Rendering in Template 2.0

When creating an email using dynamic content the button is not rendering correctly. Instead of rendering like an actual button it is showing the HTML code. When I send myself a test in using each segment it renders correctly, but when the actual email sends it does not. Has anyone had an issue with this?

Also having an issue with viewing a dynamic email in browser. When I click view in browser it only ever shows the default version, not the dynamic version. For example, if I send an email in multiple languages and English is the default, even if I receive the French version, when I view it in browser it opens the English version.

Thank you!

Hello Floyd,

Attached are screenshots of what the button looks like in a test vs. the actual send. Regarding viewing in a browser, I can confirm it is in the actual email and not just the test-sample. Thanks!

Hi, has anyone figured out what happened here? We had a similar issue and we're trying to troubleshoot.

Also interested if someone has found a solution to this. We are having the same issues. When we make our html button dynamic it looks fine in the Marketo Editor and then when we send a test email it changes to a text link.

Hi Mylia,

Can you please post some screenshots of what the button looks like in the Marketo editor? and when you actually receive the email?

If you are saying that the test samples are working fine, then I find it hard to believe that having the email as dynamic is making the button spit out html code for that variation, unless it has been modified for that specific variation.

But some examples would be good so it can be trouble shooted.

Also regarding with viewing in browser, can you confirm that you are seeing this issue with the actual email and not a "test-sample" email?

Thanks,

Floyd
