Editing linked text style in new HTML email editor

With the switch to the new HTML email editor, we noticed we lost the ability to easily edit the style of our linked text. An example is shown below, where we used to be able to select the class "underline-orange" when linking text.

Rather than have my designer edit the raw HTML every time, I'm hoping there's another easy solution in the new editor.

Has anyone experienced a similar challenge, or know an easier way to manage this altogether?
