Email Modules Breaking After Save

I've started using email Modules and ran into a possible issue.

I created a new email from the Snow Bunny template. The first time it opens, everything works and the Module tab appears normal.

But if I make any kind of edit, no matter how small, the Module tab breaks.

For example, if I click Edit Code and edit the HTML comment:

<!-- Marketo Variable Definition-->

I deleted the word Definition and then Saved.

The Module tab is now greyed out and unclickable.

It seems that just the act of saving breaks the Modules functionality.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Thanks.

Hi Rick,

Create an email from the template, edit it, then, in the editor, use the "email actions -> save as template".

Once done, you have anew template which HTML code you can edit freely. Once this new template is approved, it will automatically show up in the "my templates" section of the template picker.

Hi Rick,

As soon as you edit the code of the email, all links with the template stop functioning, excepted if your edits are located inside a Marketo editable element (e.g <div class="mktoText"></div>). See

Thanks Greg.

So how would I use a Marketo email template, customize it, then save it as a new template for my company?
