Extra Slash on Original Referrer?

What does the extra slash at the end of these original referrer URLs mean?

Our fear is that directory or URL parameters are getting dropped in some cases.

Can you shed some light on this for me?

It's a bug, but doesn't affect the accuracy as far as I've seen.. Social and search sites don't provide anything but the origin (i.e. protocol and hostname) these days.
