Hello,

I would like to have more info and above all installation guidelines on the new FB Custom Audiences feature.

Can anybody help?

Hopefully a step by step article is on the way this week.

You need to 1st set up the integration in Admin -> Launchpoint. You have to create a new service, select Facebook,

Click authorize Marketo. Then you will be prompted to login into Facebook and grant Marketo permission.

Then on any smart list you should see the facebook icon at the bottom. Clicking it will send the members of your list to your custom audience in Facebook and Facebook will search for a match. (But you won't know who is or isn't a match)

@Cécile, no worries -- I'm happy to help clarify. This feature is a little bit different that what you're thinking. As you already know, Facebook lets companies buy ads to show in users' NewsFeeds (these ads are different than publishing a Marketo LP to a Facebook tab). Facebook Custom Audiences is an ad targeting option that lets companies define a list of specific leads that are eligible to see the ad. Marketo's new Facebook Custom Audience feature makes it easy to create, update or replace a Facebook Custom Audiences with leads from a Marketo static or smart list.

@Ei-Mang: sorry in advance for my silly questions but this area is brand new to me. So to make sure, I understand correctly. When you have a Marketo LP, you can publish it to FB and the FB custom audience gives you the ability to say: "only show this LP/ad" to this given audience (assuming we have previously collected their FB social profiles)?

@Kelsey, I just checked your subscription. You're not seeing the Launchpoint > Facebook option due to a bug. We'll get that fixed ASAP.

This feature makes it easy for marketers to add or remove leads from an existing Facebook Custom Audience, as well as create or replace a Facebook Custom Audience. So, to apply this to "real life":

You currently have a FB campaign targeting leads who have downloaded White Paper XYZ. After you set up the smart list in Marketo, you can navigate to the lead grid and click the FB button and easily add these leads to your existing FB custom audience.
