I frequently stage emails well in advance of their send date and am wondering how close to sending is the audience calculated? Is the audience only calculated on approval? Or is it recalculated at the time of send as well?
The audience is calculated at the time of the send. Tere is a new feature you can leverage to do pre-processing ahead of time for very complex emails in terms of personalization. If this is the case the calculation will be done at the time of the pre-processing.
