How do I not convert lead to a contact in Marketo?

We do not have "Leads" in Salesforce and have built a lead convertor with various criteria to automatically convert leads to a contact, account, and opportunity.

 

I want Marketo to bring in all people to salesforce as leads, even existing contacts should be into Salesforce as a lead and then Salesforce (based on the lead convertor criteria) will assign them to their respective accounts and create opportunities

 

How can I achieve this in Marketo? Please help

Sync Lead to SFDC with "Use auto-assignment rules".

This phrasing doesn't really make sense. If they're an "existing contact" they would already be, well, a contact.

 

If you're saying you want to create (duplicate, copied) leads for people that already exist as contacts, that's bound to create confusion, but can be done by assigning to a queue.
