How to disable or unschedule a Program?

I am trying to unschedule my program because I want to schedule it from a smart campaign:

How do I make the checkbox go away and ensure the email does not send?

Navigate to the control panel view (you may already be there).

Click "unapprove program"

If the Approval section says "Approve program" instead of "unapprove program," your email send is not scheduled.
