How to report on Company Name filled out with First Name and Last Name?

Hello Community,

 

Our technology team set up a non-Marketo form that collects information, this form does not contain the company field, and as this information is not provided, they created automation on their side that fills out the company field with First Name and Last.

 

These persons are now synced to Marketo and their company field value is affecting negatively lead scoring.

 

Do you know how I can create a smart list of people who have the Company Name equal FirstName and LastName?

Hi,

I haven't come across this kind of capability in Marketo, but you could take the data of all the people who filled out the form outside of Marketo into Excel and use that to create a list of people whose company names = first name etc.

Upload the static list to Marketo and use that as needed.

Hopefully you will sort out the issue at the source in the meantime.

Agreed with Edward and Sanford! Webhook or manual export can help you solve this problem. 

In addition to this, I would suggest having a discussion with your tech team and updating the automation so that you receive the correct lead information in the future.

    Like Edward says, there’s no internal way to compare values like this.

     

    You could call a webhook-powered service to do the comparison, or export to a sheet and crunch the data offline.
