How will deleting leads from marketo affect the program the lead is in?

How does this affect reporting? Will the lead show up as removed from the program?

    Hi David,

When a record is deleted in Marketo, it will be removed from all programs that the lead was a part of and therefore the program membership metrics will change. Also any program analyzer reporting will be affected.

Deleting a lead will also affect reporting on Smart Lists/ List etc, what it does not effect is general reporting on Email Performance Reporting Or Email Link Performance reporting.

    Hope this helps

    Hi @David Brunt,

If you are reporting on metrics like program membership or program success, there would certainly be an impact on its reporting.  If your Goal is to delete bad data from the system and want to check its impact on programs in which the deleted leads were included, the below given articles could be of help.

        Hi Floyd,

We are cleaning out some junk data from our contact list and have the same question. What do you mean by "Program analyzer reporting" in your comment? Would this include things on an email send's dashboard like Send, Delivered, Bounced, Unsubscribed, Open,  and Click?

The article Karan referenced below seems to suggest this, but there was not a hard confirmation in the post. Could you clarify for me?
