import fail due to unclosed quotation

There were old threads on this, but "Ron's Editor" is a Microsoft Windows product.  Any solutions for a Mac.  I have tried numerous accepted Import file formats, and all result in the same error: Import Fail due to unclosed quoation".  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Nancy, I haven't tested it with this particular issue, but I've used OpenOffice (free and open source) on my Mac for spreadsheets. It offers many selections for importing CSVs, such as character set (e.g. Unicode UTF-8) and separator options.

There are somewhat equivalent Mac products, like Easy CSV Editor. I can't vouch for them, but they're worth a try.
